Shine Village is building a vision for community support that follows people through every stage of life. From childhood and adolescence to parenthood, adulthood, and active aging, our goal is to create accessible pathways to learning, wellness, opportunity, and connection.
OUR LONG-TERM VISION
More Than a Community Center.
Our long-term vision is to establish a comprehensive, all-in-one Shine Village community center in Florida where children, teens, families, adults, and seniors can access educational opportunities, recreation, wellness resources, economic development, and family support within one welcoming environment.
Rather than expecting families to navigate disconnected systems on their own, we envision a village where resources, relationships, and opportunities come together.
Programs will include a combination of free and affordable services so that financial circumstances do not prevent individuals and families from accessing opportunities to grow.
THE SHINE VILLAGE MODEL
Five Pillars. One Purpose.
Our five pillars represent the areas in which Shine Village seeks to create lasting impact. Together, they address the educational, physical, emotional, economic, and social needs that contribute to strong individuals, strong families, and thriving communities.
Programs and services will be introduced in phases as funding, facilities, professional partnerships, and community resources develop.
PILLAR 1
Building Strong Foundations.
Education creates possibilities. Shine Village seeks to provide children and teens with opportunities to learn, explore their interests, develop confidence, and prepare for their futures.
Future programming may include:
- Educational enrichment & tutoring
- STEM & arts exploration
- College & career preparation
- Mentorship opportunities
BEYOND FLORIDA
Future Initiative: Our long-term educational vision extends beyond our home state through a planned national scholarship initiative designed to help expand educational opportunities for students across the United States. (Note: Applications are not yet open.)
PILLAR 2
Healthy Bodies. Active Lives.
Healthy communities are active communities. Shine Village seeks to provide accessible space for residents to move, play, and prioritize their physical well-being.
Future programming may include:
- Youth sports programs
- Fitness & wellness classes
- Senior movement & recreation
- Community recreation events

Creating Space to Heal.
Mental wellness is often an overlooked necessity in underserved communities. We seek to break down barriers to support and foster a community of wellness.
Future programming may include:
- Emotional wellness workshops
- Support groups
- Mindfulness & stress management
- Family wellness programming
GROWING WITH OUR COMMUNITY
Long-Term Vision: Our goal is to host mental wellness resources within our community center, making support accessible and community-driven. Note: Shine Village does not currently provide clinical therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis services.

Turning Ideas Into Opportunity.
Economic stability changes the trajectory of families. Shine Village seeks to provide tools for career growth and entrepreneurship to help residents build brighter futures.
Future programming may include:
- Entrepreneurship & business basics
- Job readiness & resume building
- Financial literacy workshops
- Professional networking events

Strengthening the Village.
Strong families make strong communities. We build support networks that connect neighbors to resources and to each other.
Future programming may include:
- Parenting & family education
- Community service opportunities
- Social events for seniors
- Resource navigation assistance
OUR WORK SO FAR
Shine Village has already begun putting this pillar into action through community service efforts including a school-supply giveaway in partnership with Ms. Black Florida USA and food drives serving people experiencing homelessness.
